At the end of last year, the European Parliament and the Council adopted a provisional agreement on a European directive on single-use plastic products.
Three years after adoption, the Circular Economy Action Plan is fully completed. Its 54 actions have been delivered, even if the work on some of them continues beyond 2019.

Single-use plastics directive – The EP’s ENVI Committee voted in favour of the provisional agreement
The European Parliament's Environment (ENVI) Committee voted in favour of the provisional agreement on the Commission's proposal for a directive on the reduction of the impact of certain plastic products on the environment (single-use plastics directive) on 22 January.
